Since by a Dream Came Death

Since by a dream came death;
Since by standing alone, man saw love
Without heart, without a moon,

By man came also a prayer for
The resurrection, the dead saying,
Suddenly, my arms will hold

The gold of Adam. For as in
A whisper I’m no longer alone,
Even so in my arms will all be

Turned to care; will Christ adore
A prayer before I look. Please adore
Me, without a dream.
